Once closed for trekkers, Rolwaling Trekking is now open with permit to climb Ramdung or Parchamo peak. Rolwaling is below Gauri Shankar (7145m) and just south of Tibetan Border. Its unique environment and exceptionally rich in bio-diversity makes this region one of the finest tourist destinations in Nepal.

In Rolwaling treking, you will be enchanted by the panoramic views of Pharchamo Peak (6187 mt.), Ramdung (5925 mt.). Of course breathtaking view of highest mountain on planet Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha) (8848 mt.). This remote area is a challenging and rewarding trekking destination.

Your Rolwaling Trekking starts from a tour to UNESCO declared World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. Culture and tradition frozen in time. In the middle of modern city you will find centuries old unique architecture. Culture preserved in its original form for centuries.

You camp at river base. You trek to Rhododendron forest. Places rich with exotic flora. Rolwaling Trekking grades from Moderate to Strenuous. But each step you take is worth every effort. Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu. Meet assist and transfer to hotel. 1370 mt.

Day 02: Sightseeing tours in Kathmandu. 1370 mt.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Barabise. 810 mt.

Day 04: Barabise to Kabre. 1605 mt.

Day 05: Kabre to Dolongsa.

Day 06: Dolongsa to Bigu Gompa. 1923 mt.

Day 07: Bigu Gompa to Chilangka. High pass at 3320 mt. Camping at 2310 mt.

Day 08: Chailangka to Kulong. 1890 mt.

Day 09: Kulong to Shalu. 1500 mt.

Day 10: Shalu to Simigaon. 2000 mt.

Day 11: Simigaon to Forest Camp. 2800 mt.

Day 12: Forest Camp to Beding. 3694 mt.

Day 13: Beding to Na. 4100 mt.

Day 14: Na to Forest Camp

Day 15: Forest Camp to Chetchet. 1500 mt.

Day 16: Chetchet to Chetre. 1000 mt.

Day 17: Chetre to Dolakha

Day 18: Dolakha to Kathmandu.

Day 19: Transfer to airport for departure flight.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu. Meet assist and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02:

AM – Half day sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath and Boudhanath

PM – Half day sightseeing tour Kathmandu city and Soyambhunath.

Day 03: Drive along the Arniko highway to Barabise (819m) passing through some excellent views along the way. You will camp for the night beside the Sun Koshi River.

Day 04: Start trek with a steep climb behind the small town of Barabise and through rice and mustard fields. After a couple of hours, you will come to a ridge, and will be greeted by a magnificent view down the Sun Koshi river. Stay at Kabre (1605 m).

Day 05: Climbing continuously through small settlements and the Rhododendron forest comes the camp site at Dolongsa.

Day 06: The day begins with a very steep climb to the pass (3320m) with breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Everest. Then descend through a splendid forest to the monastery of Bigu Gompa (2310 m).

Day 07: Today we have to descend to Samling Khola (1710m) observing the exotic flora on the way before our climb to Chilangka (1923m).

Day 08: Trekking few ups and downs on the trail and having magnificent views of Gaurishanker Himal you reach Kulong (1890 m).

Day 09: Today is considered as a pleasant and easy trekking day with mostly down hills to Bhote Koshi and to the village of Jagat. Further easy walk takes you to the campsite at Salu (1500 m).

Day 10: Today is also an easy walk along the river until we cross Bhote Koshi. Afterwards, it is a very steep climb to Simigaon (2000 m) and climb up to the Gompa.

Day 11: Trek starts with a short steep climb, then through beautiful mixed forest of different vegetation including Rhododendron as you climb higher. After descending for about 1 hour, you then reach the campsite (2800 m).

Day 12: This day, you continue your climb through forest before entering the more open Rolwaling Valley at Ramdung and Beding (3694 m), the largest and beautiful settlement in the Rolwaling Valley.

Day 13: Exploring the area you continue upwards along the valley through Rhododendrons to the settlement of Na (4100 m).

Day 14: From Na you return back to campsite in the Forest.

Day 15: From forest camp take a different route down to Simigaon before the steep descents down to the Bhote Koshi River. Stay at Chetchet (1500 m).

Day 16: Pass through some interesting villages of medieval manifestation you reach Chetre (1000 m).

Day 17: This day, you will continue along the valley which has now become the Tamba Kosi. Passing through some very interesting forest, you will reach Dolakaha.

Day 18: From Dolakha drive to Kathmandu.

Overnight hotel.

Day 19: Transfer to airport for departure flight.
