Lhasa-Everest Base Camp-Kathmandu trip starts with flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. In this trip you will be taken through spectacular views of landscape and sightseeing of various monasteries. Every
moment of trip is filled with new excitement. You will have plenty moments to appreciate the nature and local culture.
In Lhasa we will visit most famous and interesting places. Places such as Potala Palace, Norbulinka, Drepung, Sera monasteries, the famous Jokhang temple and the surrounding Barkhor market. Potala Palace is most famous for being home to Dalai Lama. Monasteries and temple are famous for their rich architecture and heritage that dates back to 7th century. From Lhasa we drive to Gyantse passing by Yamdrok Tso. Yamdrok Tso is also known as the Turquoise Lake.
Shigatse is your next destination. At Shigatse you will have opportunity to visit Tashipimpu monastery. Tashipimpu monastery is the seat of Panchen Lama.
Everest Base Camp
From Shigatse following the main highway south we arrive Tingri. From here we take different route to Rongbuk, the Everest Base Camp.
The most jaw dropping place in Earth. You are in home of world’s highest peak, Mount Everest. At Everest Base Camp you will enjoy the glacier and surrounding area. You will not get this view anywhere in this world. Enjoy this moment. This is your time. Get some pebbles for you. Drink Everest water. Feel the air. Capture this moment for ever. You will cherish this time for rest of your life. A story to tell to your friends and family.
From here we drive back to Kathmandu via Nyalamu crossing Lalung La (Pass) enjoying spectacular views of Himalaya.
Day 01: Arrive Gongar airport or Lhasa train station. Transfer to Lhasa.

Day 03: One excursion to Ganden and Sera monastery
Day 04: Lhasa to Gyantse
Day 05: Gyantse to Shegar
Day 06: Shegar to Rongbuk Monastery / E.B.C
Day 07: E.B.C to Zhangmu
Day 08: Zhangmu to Kathmandu. Day 09: Transfer to airport for departure flight.
Day 01: Arrive Lhasa
Upon your arrival at the Gongar airport or train station, you will be met and transferred to Lhasa. From the airport to Lhasa (3650 mt) is 68 km (42 mi), roughly an hour drive to your hotel. The drive from the train station is only 15 km (9 mi) and takes 20 minutes. Rest of the day leisure to acclimatized.
Overnight at Lhasa.
ightseeing In Lhasa. During these two days in Lhasa, visit the Potala palace, Norbulinka, Drepung, Sera monasteries, the famous Jokhang temple and the surrounding Barkhor market.
Day 04: Lhasa – Gyantse (3900 Mt)
Drive to Gyantse crossing Kamba la (4794m) and the Karo la pass (5010m), both passes offer spectacular views. From Kamba la drive along Yamdrok tso, also known as the Turquoise lake.
Day 05: Gyantse – Shigatse (3900 Mt)
In the morning visit Gyantse stupa and Khumbum monastery and drive to Shigatse. Visit the famous Tashilumpo monastery, seat of the Panchen Lama and visit local market.
Day 06: Shigatse – Lhatse (4050 Mt)
Passing through two high passes and enjoying views we reach Lhatse.
Day 07: Lhatse – Rongbuk (5050 Mt)
We start our journey to Everest Base Camp by crossing Tsho La (4500m) and reach Rongbuk monastery. Stroll around the monastery and overnight in guesthouse.
Day 08: Rongbuk
Day free to visit the base camp and glacier and to explore the area.
Day 09: Rongbuk – Nyalamu (3750 Mt)
Early morning start journey to Nyalamu. Crossing Lalung La (pass) (5050mt) and enjoying the spectacular view of Himalayas arrive Nyalamu. Overnight guesthouse.
Day 10: Nyalamu - Kathmandu
Drive to Kathmandu via Kodari (Nepal-Tibet border). Overnight hotel.
